The air strip is 1,850’ long and about 1,400’ elevation. The winds are usually out of the West in the Summer parallel to the strip . On the Anchorage sectional the strip is listed as King Ranch for the owner Dave King. You can also see this location on Google Earth in high resolution a few miles up the Matanuska River from Chickaloon. The strip is wide with plenty of room for parking.

| When: | Sat May 21th 2011Noon Potluck |
| Host: | Wayne and Carrol Vance 495-7576 |
| Where: | Rustic Wilderness |
Wayne will have burger makings and soft drinks. It would be nice if you brought a side dish.
Driving Driections: Mile 80 marker of the Parks Hwy, turn left if northbound on Wilderness Rim then the second left at the runway. I am located in the middle of the field. It's the hanger with the red roof.
The runway is good but crowned so stay in the center (side to side). It looks short from the air because of the trees, but you can touch down half way down or more and still have plenty of time to stop. Total length is 2,200 feet. We usually use 122.8 the same as Willow because it’s close.
Fly safe. Wayne
