About Us
The ALASKA CHAPTER is a small part of the much larger international SHORT WING PIPER CLUB whose mission is to provide a forum for those of us who own, or wished we owned, one of the family of the simplest, most cost effective, efficient, and fun-to-fly aircraft manufactured by the Piper Aircraft Corporation from 1948 to 1963.
The aircraft family includes:- PA-15 and PA-17 (Vagabond)
- PA-16 (Clipper)
- PA-20 (Pacer)
- PA-22 (TriPacer and Colt)
Everyone is encouraged to join us. It doesn't matter if you have a plane or not.
The flight line at our events are populated by:- Short Wing Pipers
- Long Wing Pipers
- SPAM Cans (Cessna 150s, 170s, 172s, 182s, 185s)
- Beechraft Twin Bonanzas
- Cherokees
- Aerospatiale Rallye
- Other rag-and-tube constructed air machines

Membership
The Alaska Chapter of the Short Wing Piper Club has strict membership requirements:
- Ten Dollars
- Acknowledge that Short Wing Pipers do exist.
Yes - It is that time again. Can you think of any $10 that you have spent in the last year for which you have got a better return on investment or more enjoyment? What a great deal membership in the Short Wing Piper Club - Alaska Chapter is.
If you prefer we are prepared to accept $20 for two years (2006 and 2007) membership.
